Sled Head is a powerful natural herbal powder blend designed for dogs that struggle with zinc absorption. It provides a carefully balanced source of bioavailable zinc, supported by botanicals and nutrients that help maintain healthy skin, coat, digestion, and overall vitality in zinc-deficient breeds.

Certain breeds — particularly Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes — have a hereditary predisposition to zinc malabsorption. Other large and giant breeds may also benefit from additional dietary zinc due to growth rate or breed-related factors. These include Great Danes, German Shepherds, Labradors, Retrievers, Dobermans, and Standard Poodles.

Sled Head is a comprehensive blend comprising joint-supporting herbs, nutrients for skin and coat health, digestive and immune support, and amino acids that help optimise zinc uptake. Each ingredient is selected to support the unique nutritional needs of zinc-sensitive dogs and keep them feeling their best.

This blend is intended only for dogs that need additional zinc. It should not be used for dogs with normal zinc levels.

Free delivery applies to all trade orders over £250 ex vat @ 20%(mainland UK only) either by DPD or Royal Mail, dependant upon weight.

Outside of UK

Additional surcharges for orders outside of mainland UK will be applied for orders over 5kg. 

Returns

Returns are accepted for damaged or faulty items only and Proflax will credit the retailers account with the applicable charges for returning the items. Items are required to be returned to Proflax Ltd, Unit 3GT Oak Tree Business Park, Austin Close, Kingskerswell, Newton Abbot, Devon TQ12 5GJ within 30 days of receipt, unless otherwise agreed.

Photographic evidence of damaged or faulty items are to be reported by email within 48 hours of receipt to info@proflax.co.uk. On occasions, where there is excessive spillage of the product, we may request that the items are destroyed. Once the items have been received back to us or approved to be destroyed, Proflax will either credit your trade account or offer a refund by BACs for the items, whichever is preferred.

Feeding Guidelines

For general wellbeing, feed every other day. For more targeted support, feed daily.

  1. Measure using the provided scoop (weight-based dosage guidelines on label)
  2. Sprinkle over dog's food and serve - If your dog eats dry food, add a splash of water, kefir, or goat’s milk before mixing in the powder — this helps it stick to the food so nothing gets left behind in the bowl.

 

Feeding - Dosage

Amount to feed per day based on dogs weight (kg) 

  • Up to 5kg - 2.5g (half a scoop)
  • 6-24kg - 5g (1 scoop)
  • 25-39kg - 10g (2 scoops)
  • 40kg+ - 15g (3 scoops)

  • Yeast products (as a source of prebiotic MOS and Beta glucans) 5%
  • Psyllium Husk 5%

  • Dried blueberry 1.5%

  • Gut Flora Stabilisers: Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544 1.5 x 108 CFU. 
  • Binders: Sepiolite 80mg

over 12 weeks of age.

This blend is intended only for dogs that need additional zinc. It should not be used for dogs with normal zinc levels.

Not recommended for pregnant/nursing dogs.

Not to be used if your dog is known to be allergic/reactive to any of the ingredients listed.
